CT Scan from 2D to 3D

Last week my dad got his brain scanned and I couldn't resist the temptation to render his data in 3D. The hospital gave me his data on a disc with its own viewer, but I wanted to take it one step further and give him a 3D model of his brain.

Using InVesalius, an open source medical imaging reconstruction software, I created some 3D models in under an hour. I will need to dig deeper into the software to isolate the brain, but so far I have created satisfactory models of the skull and skin.
